My father is great. His name is Duane Johnson and my name is Jordan Johnson. We do lots of things together. We sing and dance together. Even when we are riding in the car, we talk about things that make me feel special inside. He sometimes fills me up with courage and pride, and sometimes he corrects me because I get into trouble.
Sometimes he helps my mom because she has Lupus. When she is ill he helps her to the doctor and he takes off of work just to be with her. He also helps his mom. He bought her a cell phone for when she needs our help. He sometimes drives her to church functions.
He helps a lot of other people at my church. He also helps at my school, my family, in the neighborhood, at his job, and so much more. He is a Deacon at my church. Being a deacon is an important job. He works with our preacher.
My father is so lovable to me because he gives me nick names that are special to me. He calls me, “boo boo,” “phat phat,” and “jordie-wordie boo boo.” He says phrases like, “ Whatever you want, don’t sit there, fight for it!” That fills me up with courage and pride. The thing that I think is so lovable, is he loves me for who I am, and I love that. If he didn’t that would not feel right.
I think he should win the “Father of the Year” contest because he is dependable, respectful, responsible, helpful, caring, and trustworthy and I love him.
My grandfather’s name is Lucious West Fullwood Sr. He is a gentle and a caring man. My grandfather is like a father to me in more ways than one. I remember when Jo was in Kindergarten and I became ill in class and my teacher sent me to the nurse’s office. The nurse called my grandfather and he picked me up from school and when we got home he carried me into the house and he laid me on the sofa. He me some orange juice and cooked me some chicken noodle soup. He put a cool towel on my forehead. He took good care of me until my mother came home from work. My grandfather always buys me ice cream everytime I visit him. A couple of months ago, my grandfather bought me a puppy and we named him King. We both take care of him together. I am so grateful that we share that special bond together about caring for animals. I would not change anything in my relationship with my grandfather. I hope that he lives forever so that when I get older, I can take care of him just like he takes care of me.
My father, who means everything to me, also means a lot to other people as well. He owns his own company with fine workers. He is a loving husband and a caring and generous dad. Even though I don’t know how much money we have, but I know that my dad works hard to give us nice things.
More important than the things that he gives us are the things that he shares with us. He encourages me when I’m sad, and when I’m in a good mood, he is super happy. He teaches my brother and me to take good care of each other and ourselves and to respect our mother.
Last weekend he took me to the place where he met my mother in college. It was a beautiful campus with enormous oak trees and friendly students. I enjoyed the same things that my father shared with my mother such as a college football game, a stroll through the old classroom buildings and a tail gate party with his friends. I thought it was hilarious that the L.S.U. Fight song was the same tune as the Nathan Adams Spirit Song. The thing that I’ll value most was spending time together as father and daughter. As much as my father means to me, my father shows me everyday how much I mean to him.
I feel that my dad Brian Cox should be picked as Father of the year because to me he is a great father. My dad doesn’t mind going that extra mile to make sure that our family has everything that we need. My dad has talked to me and showed me what it is to be a great father. My dad has taught me that family comes 1st. Therefore, I enjoy when we have that father and son time together. Just going to the gas station with my dad, he makes it fun because he’s teaching me how to pump the gas and he makes it fun by showing me. I like when we have our father and son talks. My dad listens to me and takes the time to explain to me how important school is when I’m not having one of my best days. He also encourages me to do my best at everything and anything that I want to do in life. This is why my dad should be father of the year because:
B: BestR: RespectI: IntelligenceA: All-Around DadN: Not Selfish
C: CaringO: Open MindedX: Exciting
To me my dad has been and still is now and the future to come father of the year.
Love you dad.
Hi! My name is Ivan Williams, and I would like to share with you, the essay, “what my Father means to me.” First of all, my father’s name is Cornelius Williams. As people might know, fathers are the head of the family. But sometimes that is not the case, so mothers are in charge. My dad has taught me to show respect for my grown-ups by speaking politely. He also taught me to be courageous so that when I have a problem, I’ll know things will be ok if I work them out. And he is always there to support me when things don’t go well. And when I hear that, I feel happy that he’s my dad.
Apart from being my dad, he’s also my friend, and is there to guide me to be a better person. Plus I know that he’ll always be there to protect me and I trust him because he is older and wiser so I can always look up to him. My dad is very responsible to my family. He makes sure to provide all the things we need. I am secure that he’s part of my family.
When I grow up, I want to be just like my dad, a fun, loving, caring person who’s taught me everything and continues to teach me. I hope I continue learning from him because he is a great role model and mentor. And now you know what my father means to me. And if I had the choice to choose my father, I would choose him.
